About the position
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting dietary functions within a healthcare environment. This position involves preparing and serving meals under the guidance of a Registered Dietician and the Food Service Manager, while ensuring compliance with dietary policies and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
- Prepare and serve breakfast, snacks, and noon meals to participants according to dietary orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving kitchen and equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Dietary experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic health and nutrition is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow directions and be detail-oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet time constraints.
