About the position
The Dietary Aide at Liberty Commons of Lee County plays a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting the cook and ensuring a sanitary and pleasant dining experience for residents. This position involves both non-cooking and some cooking-related duties, focusing on food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook on duty with non-cooking related duties and some cooking-related tasks.
- Follow planned menus and prepare food and beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
- Provide food service to residents and assist in serving beverages and tray carts.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop work areas to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
- Assist with meal preparation, drinks, supplements, and snacks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to use supplies economically and operate equipment safely.
- Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Ability to read diet cards and communicate in English.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
