About the position

The Dietary Aide at Temecula Healthcare Center plays a crucial role in assisting with food functions in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position involves working closely with the facility's Dietitian and Director of Food Services to ensure that food service meets the needs of residents, while also maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the facility's Dietitian/Director of Food Services to implement recommended changes.
• Ensure all food procedures are followed according to established policies.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-department personnel and other departments.
• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties as per established policies.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas as instructed.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for the next meal.
• Check diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.

Requirements

• Healthcare facility experience preferred.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the public.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment.
• Perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation and safety.
• Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
