About the position

The Dietary Aide at The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center is responsible for delivering high-quality food services to senior residents. This role involves coordinating with the Dining Services team to ensure the preparation and presentation of meals, maintaining a clean dining environment, and providing excellent service to enhance the dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all dietary services as outlined in the Resident Handbook and Care Plan.
• Support food services programs tailored to the unique interests of each resident.
• Resolve any food service and care coordination issues promptly with team members.
• Assist food service personnel in serving residents as directed by the supervisor.
• Fill drinking glasses and set/reset tables in the dining room as needed.
• Monitor and refill salad bar, beverage, and service stations as directed.
• Help the cook with serving meals and cleaning dining areas as necessary.
• Wash utensils, chinaware, and glassware for dining area reset.
• Clean the dish room, including washing floor mats and maintaining the dishwasher.
• Organize and clean the janitor's closet and other assigned areas.
• Deliver room service trays as instructed and maintain a professional demeanor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift at least 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
