About the position

The Dietary Aide at Frontier Senior Living plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality food services to residents at The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center. This position involves coordinating with the Dining Services team to ensure the preparation and presentation of meals meet the highest standards, while also maintaining a holistic perspective of care for each resident. The Dietary Aide is responsible for various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the Dining Services Department, ensuring a positive dining experience for senior residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all dietary services as mentioned in the Resident Handbook and Care Plan.
• Support food services programs that stimulate and maximize the unique interests of each resident.
• Resolve any potential food services and care coordination problems promptly with team members.
• Assist food service personnel in serving residents as directed by the supervisor.
• Fill drinking glasses and set/reset tables in the dining room as needed.
• Monitor salad bar, beverage, and service stations, refilling as directed.
• Help the cook with serving all meals and assist in cleaning dining room tables and areas as necessary.
• Wash utensils, chinaware, eating silverware, and glassware for dining area reset.
• Clean coffee pots and beverage bar areas as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dish room, including washing floor mats and cleaning the dishwasher.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, storage areas, and employee break room as scheduled.
• Deliver room service trays as instructed.
• Present a professional demeanor that reflects the corporate philosophy of service and goodwill.

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 30 pounds.
• Frequent transporting of residents in a wheelchair.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with adequate English language proficiency.
• Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions routinely.
