About the position

The Dietary Aide at Meadowbrook Manor plays a crucial role in the Dietary Department, focusing on customer service and the overall dining experience for residents. This position involves various tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, setting up dining areas, delivering food, and assisting in meal preparation. The role is essential for enhancing the daily lives of residents through quality food service and support.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and food carts for the dining room.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Assist in cooking, preparing, and handing out meals.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Contribute to food preparation for special meals and parties.
• Obtain food supplies for the next meal.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers.
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies as necessary.
• Ensure all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Wash and clean utensils and dishes.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, and garbage.

• ServSafe certification
• Customer service skills
