About the position
The Dietary Aide position at WeCare at Murrysville Care Center involves assisting in the kitchen area before, during, and after meals are served to residents. The role is essential in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring that food meets the dietary preferences and needs of the residents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain kitchen work areas.
- Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
- Prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations and facility standards.
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished, and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
- Serve food from steam table and transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
- Honor residents' food likes and dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
- Ensure food supplies for the next day's production are available.
- Assist cooks in preparing meals as directed.
- Use proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Successfully completed state required background check.
- Previous experience preferred.
