About the position

The Dietary Aide is responsible for ensuring the accurate setup of meal trays and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment. This role involves preparing meal specials in compliance with federal and state regulations, therapeutic diets, and food safety standards, while also adhering to service schedules and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Assure accurate tray setup for meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of flatware, dishware, pots and pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Prepare meal specials according to regulations and standards.
• Follow food safety standards and service schedules.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and fellow employees.

Requirements

• Willingness to work with and understanding of geriatric residents and their needs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to take direction and constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors.
