About the position

The Dietary Assistant position at Reynolds Memorial Hospital involves performing various fundamental food service duties to ensure high-quality food and service delivery to patients and customers. Responsibilities include meal assembly, dish room duties, cafeteria service, and cold food production, all while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all work areas for operation, including filling buckets with sanitizing solution and maintaining sanitizer strength throughout the shift.
• Sets up area including utensils, restocks, cleans, and organizes assigned area while maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Produces and maintains attractive, appetizing, and quality food and beverage products.
• Follows menu cycle, proper portions, and standardized recipes while preparing food items in batch production.
• Greets customers, takes orders, and serves them efficiently while focusing on customer service.
• Addresses customer complaints professionally and seeks management assistance when needed.
• Cleans spills promptly and posts appropriate caution signage.
• Removes trash from service areas promptly.
• Merchandises area through clean, uncluttered, attractive, and orderly arrangement of the work area.
• Ensures that all activities meet sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from the local health department prior to starting or obtain a Temporary FSWP no later than the first worked day and a permanent FSWP within 1 week of start date or next available class for West Virginia locations.
• Obtain a ServSafe Person In Charge certification within 90 days of hire for Ohio locations.
• Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from the local health department, surrounding counties, ServSafe, or StateFoodSafety prior to starting or obtain a Temporary FSWP no later than the first worked day and a permanent FSWP within 1 week of start date or next available class for Maryland locations.
