About the position

The Dietary Clerk at Levindale Hospital plays a crucial role in maintaining effective communication within the Food and Nutrition Service. This position is responsible for managing patient and resident dietary information, ensuring accurate data entry for diet preferences, allergies, and meal selections. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekday shifts and coverage every other weekend, making it essential for the smooth operation of dietary services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intra- and inter-department communications within the Food and Nutrition Service.
• Perform data entry functions for patients and residents, including diet information, admissions, discharges, diet changes, food preferences, and allergies.
• Manage menu selections accurately and in a timely manner.
• Flexibly cover weekday shifts and every other weekend in the Dietary office.
• Utilize the PCC system for meal tray cards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or High School certificate.
• Entry-level knowledge and basic employment skills.
• Less than one year of experience.
