About the position

The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing the Dietary Department, ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role involves collaboration with the Dietitian to manage operations, staffing, budgeting, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for food service.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Dietitian to plan and develop the Dietary Department.
  • Organize and implement dietary programs and activities according to patient care plans.
  • Manage staffing, supplies, and equipment for the Dietary Department.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding dietary services.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dietary Manager is preferred.
