About the position

The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing the dietary department in a healthcare or institutional setting, ensuring that the nutritional needs of patients are met. This role involves leading a team, developing care plans, and implementing health coaching strategies to promote patient health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to determine individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Develop and manage comprehensive care plans that align with patients' health goals.
• Supervise dietary staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality standards.
• Implement tube feeding protocols as necessary for patients requiring specialized nutritional support.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary considerations into overall patient care.
• Provide health coaching to patients and families, educating them on nutrition and healthy eating practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Background in Dietetics or a related field.
• Experience in managing dietary services within a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate nutritional plans.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and supervising staff.
• Experience in health coaching and knowledge of tube feeding practices.
