The Dietary Services Supervisor/Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing the dietary services within a healthcare facility, ensuring that all meals provided to residents are nutritious, appealing, and compliant with relevant regulations. This role involves a combination of clinical, administrative, and supervisory responsibilities. The supervisor will ensure the timely preparation and delivery of meals according to physician's orders, while also maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. The position requires effective interaction with interdisciplinary team members to meet the dietary needs of residents, implementing and revising menus with the guidance of a Registered Dietician. In the administrative capacity, the supervisor will maintain all necessary records and documentation as per Federal, State, and company requirements. This includes managing inventory of food and supplies to ensure that resident needs are met according to planned menus. Participation in meetings and in-services is also expected, along with the ability to forecast departmental needs and ensure effective communication across departments to guarantee quality resident care. As a supervisory role, the Dietary Services Supervisor will assign tasks to staff, monitor their performance, and evaluate the quality of services provided. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential to meet departmental goals and address any performance issues that may arise. The supervisor will also be responsible for adhering to company standards for resolving consumer concerns and ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
