About the position
As a Registered Dietitian at DaVita, you will play a crucial role in the core care team for patients, focusing on patient-centered health care. Your responsibilities will include analyzing lab results and educating patients and their families on dietary choices to improve their health. This position emphasizes building meaningful relationships with patients in an outpatient setting and contributing to a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze lab-work results to inform dietary recommendations.
- Educate patients and their families on nutrition and dietary choices.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients in an outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with the core care team to improve patient health outcomes.
- Participate in performance-based rewards and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- State licensure required if available in the state of the facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area required.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to multiple facilities as needed.
- Successful completion of the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80% after hire and training.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in renal nutrition or similar dietary fields.
- Familiarity with DaVita specific applications.
