About the position

The Digital Ads Sales Representative is a commission-only role focused on selling advertising packages for an online news site. The representative will identify potential business partners, develop outreach strategies, and build strong relationships to convert leads into advertising clients. This position requires a proactive approach to sales and client management, emphasizing integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Identifying businesses that would benefit from becoming ad partners through digital ads and articles on our site, e-newsletter, and social media.
• Developing strategies to effectively communicate the value of advertising with us to potential partners.
• Building and fostering business-to-business relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and social media.
• Maintaining a client database with detailed notes on appointments, sales, leads, and contact information.

Requirements

• Experience in sales, particularly in digital advertising or related fields.
• Strong negotiation skills and customer service experience.
• Proficiency in outside sales and business development.
• Understanding of digital advertising metrics such as CTR, impressions, and page views.
• Ability to manage accounts effectively and knowledge of B2B sales and marketing strategies.
• Familiarity with technology, online publishing, and digital ad sales.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
