We are looking for a Digital Advertising Operations & Inventory Manager to join the growing commercial organization within our epocrates division. In this role, the Digital Advertising Operations & Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day requirements related to our digital ad operations, reporting, and yield optimization efforts with a team of specialists in ad platforms, revenue products, and trafficking operations. This individual will also collaborate closely with Ad Tech, Data Operations, Publishing, and Business leaders on digital revenue strategy. The Digital Advertising Operations & Inventory Manager will be part of a team that owns the management and evolution of our entire Digital Advertising Ecosystem ensuring we are conducting business effectively across our operations team to meet our monetization strategies and goals. The Digital Advertising Operations & Inventory Manager will work directly with the Executive Director of Customer Experience and the Director of Product Ops on strategy to ensure the best outcomes and performance for the overall platform, campaigns, and team members. This role involves trafficking and reporting on digital campaigns, including scheduling, quality assurance, delivery, fill, revenue reporting, and analysis to Sales, Ad Tech, and Commercial account teams. The manager will troubleshoot advertising delivery issues, forecast expected impression loads using historic delivery data, and train the team in techniques and strategies that ensure accurate results and a positive experience for clients. The position requires a focus on consistent process improvement and collaboration with cross-functional leaders to drive efficiency for the business. Operating from a sense of urgency and purpose, the manager will tie team activities to overarching business goals and strategies, working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering leadership to support the creation of new ad products and product roadmap/strategy execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day digital ad operations, reporting, and yield optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Ad Tech, Data Operations, Publishing, and Business leaders on digital revenue strategy.
  • Work with the Executive Director of Customer Experience and Director of Product Ops on strategy for platform performance.
  • Trafficking and reporting on digital campaigns including scheduling, QA, delivery, fill, and revenue reporting.
  • Troubleshoot advertising delivery issues including pacing and ad rendering.
  • Forecast expected impression loads using historic delivery data and current season deliverables.
  • Train the team in techniques and strategies for accurate results and client support.
  • Push for consistent process improvement and set relevant policies for the team.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering leadership to support new ad products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing, trafficking, and planning digital media.
  • Proficiency in basic HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver, Ad Tagging, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Pivots/VLOOKUP, Power Point).
  • Knowledge of publisher side ad serving (Kevel Core/DFP/GAM).
  • Experience across all digital IAB ad formats, including Video (pre-roll/mid-roll), Native, and Display.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while handling multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Process-oriented mindset required to build out the ad ops team within the larger creative services and product operations team.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to craft and deliver a cohesive and compelling story.
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills with knowledge of A/B testing methodologies.
