About the position

Cox Communications is seeking a Digital Advertising Product Manager to support its Cox Media team. This role involves comprehensive lifecycle management of assigned advertising products within Cox Media's local advertising portfolio, including the design and maintenance of processes to drive revenue, product enhancements, and the evaluation of underperforming products. The position requires a mix of office and remote work, and the manager will collaborate with various teams to ensure product success and market growth.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise on assigned products by leading cross-departmental efforts.
  • Partner with Sales team to identify strategies for increasing market share and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Cox Media markets to facilitate product launches and enhancements.
  • Align with Marketing Center of Excellence to ensure proper positioning of product offerings.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and Operations teams for fulfillment and billing practices.
  • Work with Finance team to develop and maintain an operating plan and budget for assigned products.
  • Drive product enhancements in an agile development environment.
  • Assist in developing business cases for product and services roadmap investments.
  • Continuously evaluate programmatic inventory sources for optimization.
  • Survey the marketplace for new inventory sources and lead negotiations with supply partners.
  • Interface with local, national, and sales teams to provide product expertise.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure accountability and customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in related field (B-to-B product/brand management, media/advertising sales management).
  • Demonstrated experience with Digital Media advertising products.
  • Previous experience working with DSPs such as DV360, Google Campaign Manager, Amazon.
  • Strong ability to work across departmental boundaries to drive common goals.
  • Proven ability to develop detailed work plans and execute under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, detail, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred BS/BA degree in related discipline (Marketing, Advertising, Business).
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role or leading cross-functional projects.
  • Project management software experience.
  • DSP/SSP experience related to inventory negotiation.
