About the position

UB Greensfelder LLP is seeking a Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager to join our marketing department. This role is pivotal in leading and executing the firm's digital and social media marketing strategies. The successful candidate will oversee website content, social media initiatives, and the development and distribution of press releases and internal communications. The manager will work closely with attorneys to provide strategic consultative services and will be responsible for the implementation of day-to-day marketing projects under the guidance of the Chief Marketing Officer. In this position, the manager will be tasked with enhancing the firm's website strategy, ensuring content updates are made to the back-end CMS, and identifying opportunities to improve user experience and navigation. The role also involves developing and managing the firm's content strategy, maintaining a weekly content calendar, and ensuring that all content aligns with the firm's brand standards. The manager will focus on social media strategy, primarily on platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook, and will analyze data to optimize engagement and reach. Additionally, the Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager will oversee the firm's photography needs, manage public-facing advertising programs, and collaborate with video production companies to create engaging video content. The role requires a proactive approach to staying informed about competitors and industry trends, ensuring that the firm remains competitive in its marketing efforts. The manager will communicate project timelines and status updates to the marketing department and senior leaders, ensuring alignment and timely execution of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the firm's website strategy and make content updates to the back-end CMS as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, visual elements, and ease of navigation for website visitors.
  • Develop and manage the firm's content strategy, writing and/or editing daily content.
  • Maintain a weekly content calendar to prioritize firm news and events for both internal and external posting.
  • Develop and manage the firm's social media strategy, focusing primarily on LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Review data on an ongoing basis and adjust posting schedule as appropriate to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Develop and uphold written and visual brand standards in all creative content from concept through execution.
  • Manage firm photography needs including scheduling sessions with photographers, overseeing retouching, and implementing internal archiving process.
  • Manage public-facing advertising program, working closely with freelance designer to write copy and develop design for print and digital advertising in support of firm goals and priority practice groups.
  • Manage the firm's video content, working closely with approved video production companies to develop video scripts and content for web and social media use.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Communications Manager on developing and executing marketing communications plans for specific initiatives, industry/practice groups, and other projects as needed.
  • Maintain awareness and high degree of knowledge of competitors' expertise and marketing efforts, reviews research results, reads industry publications and remains abreast of all industry-related marketing developments and best practices.
  • Communicate plans, project timelines and status with marketing department and other senior leaders as appropriate.
  • Suggest alternatives to meet established deadlines when off course.
  • Work closely with other marketing team members providing direction and requirements during the creative process.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or Public Relations.
  • At least five years of experience in the professional services industry, legal industry, or related industry preferred.
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of online related work and creative/brand management experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high-level of proficiency in Content Management Systems, SharePoint, and MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Adobe software proficiency is a plus.
  • Must be focused on client service and have an ability to develop relationships.
  • Must be enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about elevating the firm's reputation and brand awareness to a significantly higher level.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Able to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have exceptional editing and proofreading skills.
  • Comfortable receiving/acting upon feedback and working with ambiguity.
