About the position

The Front End Web Developer at GEM is responsible for creating the visual and interactive elements of web projects. This role encompasses the entire website development process, from planning and prototyping to design, development, and launch. The developer must ensure that websites are user-friendly and accessible, adapting designs for various screen sizes and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the visual and interactive elements of web projects.
• Participate in planning, prototyping, design, development, and launch of websites.
• Implement best practices in user experience and accessibility.
• Code near-exact replicas of website designs while ensuring adaptability for multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality web standards.

Requirements

• Proficient in semantic and modern HTML.
• Strong skills in CSS/SASS and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Understanding of UI/design principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with PHP and Laravel (Blade templating system).
• Experience with Vue.js or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Understanding of SEO and website analytics.
• Experience in email development.
