About the position

We are seeking a Digital Asset Manager to support the implementation and management of our new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role is crucial for organizing, maintaining, and ensuring the smooth operation of our digital asset library, which includes a variety of creative files. This is an in-house position with a flexible schedule, perfect for someone with a strong understanding of digital assets and file management. The Digital Asset Manager will play a key role in the setup, configuration, and testing of the new DAM system, collaborating with the team to establish metadata standards, tagging, and categorization of assets. Additionally, the manager will support the migration of existing digital assets into the new DAM system, ensuring accurate organization and metadata application. In terms of asset management, the Digital Asset Manager will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining a large library of digital assets, including various file types such as PSD, TIFF, JPG, and PNG. It is essential that all assets are correctly labeled, tagged, and easily searchable within the DAM system. The manager will also monitor and maintain the integrity of the DAM system, conducting regular audits and quality checks, and handling file conversions and format changes as needed. Collaboration with creative teams is vital to understand their needs and ensure assets are accessible and properly managed. The manager will provide training and support to team members on using the DAM system and serve as the point of contact for any DAM-related issues or inquiries. Reporting is another critical aspect of this role, as the Digital Asset Manager will generate regular reports on asset usage, storage, and system performance, while also identifying and recommending improvements to the DAM system and asset management processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital asset management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of different file formats, including PSD, TIFF, JPG, PNG, and more.
  • Proficiency in Excel for asset tracking, reporting, and data management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible, as-needed role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DAM system implementation is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of metadata standards and best practices.
