About the position

As a Digital Asset Risk Manager at EY, you will lead teams in advising Financial Services clients on the implementation and management of blockchain technology and digital asset products. This role focuses on mitigating unique risks associated with digital assets, ensuring effective risk management practices, and supporting the successful delivery of transformation projects in the digital space.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of risk analysts to perform risk assessments and analyze complex IT systems and infrastructure.
• Developing new leading practice controls for risks posed by digital asset and crypto products.
• Contributing to the generation of new business opportunities in operational risk management and developing long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• In-depth understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• 5+ years of experience in technology risk, compliance, controls, and/or audit roles for Financial Institutions or crypto natives
• Strong attention to detail and experience with Risk and Control Matrices
• Understanding of regulatory considerations impacting Financial Institutions
• Proven ability in leading technology risk sales conversations
• Experience dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
• Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in the Digital/Crypto industry
• Experience working with regulators like the NYDFS, OCC, SEC
• Experience supporting testing or audits of technology controls
• Foundational knowledge of common crypto vendors and risk management tools.
