About the position

As a Digital Asset Risk Senior at EY, you will lead teams to assist Financial Services clients in navigating the complexities of blockchain technology and digital asset transformation projects. Your role will involve advising clients on the implementation of effective controls to mitigate risks associated with digital asset products, including crypto custody and exchange, while fostering long-term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a team of risk analysts and working with client personnel to plan and perform risk assessments.
• Analyzing and evaluating complex IT systems, infrastructure, and risk issues related to digital asset products.
• Developing new leading practice controls for novel risks posed by digital asset and crypto products.
• Contributing to the generation of new business opportunities for operational risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• In-depth understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• 3+ years of experience in technology risk, compliance, controls, and/or audit roles for Financial Institutions or crypto natives
• Strong attention to detail and experience supporting a risk and compliance program
• Understanding of the shifting regulatory considerations of digital assets
• Comfort and experience dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
• Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

Nice-to-haves

• Digital/Crypto industry experience in areas such as tokenization, staking, and crypto custody
• Experience working with regulators like the NYDFS, OCC, SEC
• Experience supporting testing or audits of technology controls
• Foundational knowledge of common crypto vendors and risk management tools.
