About the position

The Digital Asset Technician at Walmart Fulfillment Center is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of specialized equipment, particularly alpha bots. This role requires a diverse skill set in electronics, networking, electrical, mechatronics, and robotics, and involves diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and ensuring the functionality of critical equipment. The position emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee the repair and maintenance of alpha bots.
• Perform major and minor repairs on specialized and critical equipment.
• Inspect, operate, or test equipment or systems to diagnose problems.
• Dismantle equipment, machines, or systems to access and remove defective parts.
• Diagnose problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment for repairs.
• Provide prompt response to emergency calls.
• Document repair activities and maintenance schedules.
• Follow established preventive maintenance schedules to ensure safety and functionality of equipment.
• Order and track parts and replacement equipment.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years experience in automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade, or 5 years experience in the same fields.
• License in related trade in the city and state where the job is located.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• 1-3 years of experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in mechatronics and automation.
