About the position
The Digital Asset Technician role at Walmart involves supporting and overseeing the repair and maintenance of specialized equipment, particularly alpha bots, within a fast-paced fulfillment center environment. This position requires a diverse skill set in electronics, networking, electrical work, mechatronics, and robotics, and emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor repairs on specialized equipment and critical systems.
- Inspect, operate, or test equipment or systems to diagnose problems.
- Dismantle equipment, machines, or systems to access and remove defective parts.
- Diagnose problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment for repairs.
- Provide prompt response to emergency calls.
- Document repair activities and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and repair of electronic and robotic systems.
- Strong skills in electronics, networking, electrical work, mechatronics, and robotics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and repair manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Familiarity with inventory management for repair parts.
