About the position

The Digital Banking & Payments Data Analyst position at Ridgewood Savings Bank is an in-person role based at the bank's headquarters in Ridgewood, Queens, NY. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the bank's digital banking initiatives by gathering and analyzing data from various sources to provide meaningful insights that inform business decisions. The analyst will be responsible for supporting the bank's online customer acquisition and retention efforts through detailed customer segmentation reporting and enhanced analysis of both internal and external transactional, behavioral, and market data. In addition to customer acquisition and retention, the analyst will support the department's risk management programs by providing near real-time business intelligence to stakeholders. This includes developing dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize data, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions related to digital banking. The role also involves creating and maintaining data models from various banking applications, interpreting digital banking data, analyzing results, and providing ongoing reports to stakeholders. Collaboration is key in this role, as the analyst will work closely with stakeholders in the Digital Banking department to identify and prioritize business needs, requirements, and opportunities. Ensuring the integrity of data used in extracted reports and ad-hoc requests is essential, as is supporting data quality initiatives and providing recommendations to improve data accuracy and completeness. The analyst will also provide data management support for current and future technology projects in the department and may assist with other related duties as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources to provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
  • Support the Bank's online customer acquisition and retention initiatives through customer segmentation reporting and enhanced analysis of both internal and external transactional, behavioral and market data.
  • Support the department's risk management programs by providing near real-time business intelligence to stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize data and enable stakeholders to make informed decisions related to digital banking.
  • Create and maintain data models from various banking applications.
  • Interpret digital banking data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the Digital Banking department to identify and prioritize business needs, requirements, and opportunities.
  • Ensure integrity of data used in extracted reports and ad-hoc requests.
  • Support data quality initiatives and provide recommendations to improve data accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Banking or Financial Services required.
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI, required.
  • Knowledge of Fiserv DNA, or similar Core Banking Platform is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL is required.
  • Proficiency in Python is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex digital banking data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present digital banking insights and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Knowledge of digital banking operations and digital banking products is a plus.
  • Experience in Project Management and Process Optimization a plus.
