About the position

The Digital Banking Supervisor at Hingham Institution for Savings is responsible for overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the Digital Banking team. This role involves supporting payment operations and enhancing digital banking services for client-facing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, improve operational efficiencies, and collaborate with various departments to address complex issues while ensuring compliance with payment regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and supervision to team members responsible for all payment-related activities such as Wires, ACH, and Debit Cards.
  • Ensure compliance across all payment channels for payment rules and regulations including Regulation E, OFAC, NACHA, and Mastercard rules.
  • Supervise team members responsible for consumer and business digital banking products, including online account opening and cash management tools.
  • Resolve issues related to payment and online channels, serving as the escalation point with vendors and internal teams.
  • Assist in defining or enhancing product strategies for payment technologies to improve client experience and processing efficiencies.
  • Oversee monitoring and processing of fraud mitigating alerts and recommend strategies to minimize exposure and loss.
  • Collaborate with other departments to solve complex issues and improve overall customer experience.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit efforts in partnership with auditors and the Digital Banking Group.
  • Support team management of incidents from identification to resolution.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set clear goals for team members.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in supervising a Deposit Operations/Electronic Payments team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on regulatory and financial risk exposure.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to apply logical and creative thinking to solve complex business problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and regulators.
  • Resilient and able to work autonomously in ambiguous situations.
  • Basic knowledge of various operating systems, browsers, and mobile devices.
