About the position

The Digital Commerce Manager at Sherwin-Williams is responsible for developing and executing the omni-channel strategy to drive online sales for iconic brands such as Valspar, Minwax, Krylon, and Purdy. This role focuses on optimizing product categories, enhancing consumer experiences, and improving operational processes to increase traffic, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction across independent retail customers' online channels.

Responsibilities

  • Set and champion the vision for online sales on retailer.com
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for retailer digital properties
  • Act as the primary point of contact for online SKU presentation and brand performance
  • Drive growth in omni-fulfillment methods including Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store (BOPUIS) and Direct Fulfillment Centers (DFC)
  • Collaborate with Sherwin DSC teams & Procurement on tinter & packaging updates
  • Manage relationships with Retailer.com Online Merchant, Digital Category Optimization, IT & Project Management
  • Build strategic plans and lead presentations for Online Product Category Line Reviews
  • Conduct competitive intelligence, consumer research, financial analysis, and business planning
  • Manage all aspects of the digital shelf, ensuring quality content, data integrity, user flow, and SEO
  • Partner with retailer teams to maximize capabilities and inform future roadmaps
  • Build strong cross-functional business relationships across various teams
  • Identify KPIs, track performance metrics, and translate data into actionable insights
  • Lead 1-3 direct reports and agency partners focused on digital shelf and content optimization
  • Develop a promotional online planning strategy in partnership with sales and merchant teams
  • Lead shared Digital Commerce team initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or technology
  • 4+ years' experience in sales, marketing, merchandising or online category management
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of input and make high-quality decisions

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years' experience in ecommerce
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives at large companies
  • Retailer Online Sales Experience
  • Merchandising or Sales and P&L management experience
  • Expert knowledge in e-retailer ecommerce processes, technologies, operations, SEM and SEO
  • Excellent internal and external customer service orientation
  • Exposure to managing employees and owning agency relationships
