About the position

The Digital Commerce Sales & Marketing Manager at Scotts Miracle-Gro is responsible for leading digital commerce initiatives, collaborating with retail media networks, and optimizing marketing strategies to drive business growth. This role requires strategic thinking, relationship building, and effective communication to ensure successful execution of retail media plans and alignment with broader company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with retail media networks, the commerce agency, and the media strategy team to develop annual retail media plans.
  • Own relationship with key retail media partners, ensuring all planning deadlines are met and plans are executed.
  • Analyze performance of retail media campaigns and optimize for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage SMG marketing capabilities with key retailers to execute best in class digital events and programs.
  • Integrate retail media/marketing initiatives with SMG strategies and consumer insights.
  • Work with business development teams to leverage retail media programs for strategic selling opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional resources to gain strategic alignment and execute flawlessly to achieve business growth targets.
  • Implement SEO and drive best in class content enhancements with the content team and commerce agency.
  • Continuously test new/updated creative messaging to optimize conversion.
  • Effectively communicate complete digital commerce performance to BDT & Org.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in related consumer/shopper marketing, brand marketing, media, or business development fields.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead in a rapidly evolving retail environment.
  • Skilled at building relationships quickly and promoting collaboration across all levels of a business.
  • Ability to effectively present to executive-level audiences, internally and with the customer.
  • Thoughtful risk taker who can make quick decisions and assess results.
