About the position

Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell seeks a creative, highly motivated person to serve as a Digital Content Manager in the Office's Communications Division. The Digital Content Manager will report to the Director of Digital Communications and work closely with the Digital Communications Manager, Communications Director, Deputy Press Secretaries, other Executive Staff, and AG Campbell herself, to deliver information from the Office to the public.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and helping manage AGO social media accounts
  • Assisting with creation of creative collateral, such as long- and short-form video, static and motion graphics, and printed materials
  • Assists in the development of social media strategy
  • Leads the social listening work and social media analytics tracking for the Digital team
  • Drafts social media posts
  • Takes photos at public events, edits photos, and helps manage the photo catalog
  • Assists with digital constituent services
  • Supports internal communications efforts
  • Helps maintain the www.mass.gov/ago website

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • At least two years of experience in communications, graphic design, social media management, or video production, with a portfolio to showcase the ability to create digital content
  • Previous experience managing social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, or TikTok
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere required
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects preferred
  • Effective writing skills, particularly in the social media format
  • Interested in social justice, journalism, public service, law, or government
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail
  • Technologically proficient, able to learn and use new software, troubleshoot errors, and manage production equipment, computer hardware, and other devices
  • Candidates should be social media-savvy and excited about exploring creative and fun ways to communicate with the public
