About the position

The Content Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for the VR Media Content team. This remote position, based in the LA area, requires the individual to be onsite once a month for team collaboration. The primary responsibility is to develop and implement marketing deliverables that enhance engagement with media across AR/VR platforms. This role demands a blend of strong organizational skills, a creative mindset, and substantial experience in VR marketing. The manager will be tasked with coordinating the production and workflow of digital assets, ensuring that promotional materials are effectively created and distributed across various channels, including PR communications, social media, and VR modules. In addition to asset production, the Content Marketing Manager will create work-back schedules and maintain day-to-day communication with both internal and external agencies and stakeholders regarding promotional campaigns. The role encompasses overseeing campaigns from their inception through to launch and post-launch engagement, monitoring performance metrics, and advocating for necessary improvements or optimizations. The manager will also be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a digital marketing strategy that adapts to shifting priorities, while ensuring all campaigns align with brand guidelines and marketing strategies. The position requires lightweight copywriting for marketing promotions, the development of templates and promotional plans for content launches, and collaboration with various marketing stakeholders to ensure successful execution. Strong communication skills are essential, as the manager will interact with global counterparts and advocate for the team's needs to leadership. Additionally, the role involves creating internal and external wrap-up reports that highlight the successes and learnings from each campaign, contributing to the continuous improvement of marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate digital asset production and workflow to produce and distribute digital assets for promotion including PR comms, social media, VR modules, and VR discovery channels.
  • Create work back schedules and manage day-to-day communication with internal and external agencies and stakeholders as it relates to promotional campaigns.
  • Oversee campaigns from inception through launch and post-launch engagement.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance and VR placements to advocate for improvements or optimizations.
  • Develop, manage, and execute digital marketing strategy, updating as priorities shift and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Create internal development documentation and best-practices for the digital landscape.
  • Ensure all campaigns adhere to brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
  • Lightweight copywriting for some marketing promotions.
  • Develop templates and promotional plans for content launches and work with various marketing stakeholders and teams to execute.
  • Strong communication skills with global counterparts internally and externally and ability to advocate for needs to leadership.
  • Create internal and external wrap-up reports highlighting wins and learnings of a campaign.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience in marketing, creative operations, digital production, or media.
  • Experience with social media communities and paid marketing preferred.
  • Production and on-set experience helpful.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to media planning or production agency experience or experience in high-volume asset management.
  • Experience with content management systems and publishing/programming tooling.
  • Strong understanding of digital/social media landscape.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, execution, and time management skills with an ability to meet all deadlines.
  • Working experience using Adobe Photoshop, Content Management Systems, and HTML.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Well versed in the current Entertainment landscape and consumer trends.
  • Experience developing digital strategies, resources, and collateral for Media, bonus if in VR or Media space.
  • Hands-on experience with campaign data analysis and insights including social and website/app data.
