Amazing America TV is dedicated to telling the unique stories of communities across the United States, focusing on the rich heritage and history that define our nation. Sinclair Digital is seeking a Digital Content Producer/Editor who embodies the spirit of storytelling and has a passion for food and travel. This role requires a versatile individual who can create engaging, shareable content for various social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a strong journalism background and a proven track record of producing original programming across digital, video, and audio formats. A keen interest in travel and food within the U.S. is essential, and experience in on-camera reporting is a plus. In this position, you will be responsible for pitching and producing captivating video and image content tailored for food and travel enthusiasts. You will participate in daily editorial meetings to propose timely and original content ideas. Your role will also involve reviewing broadcasts from local stations nationwide to identify stories that can be repurposed or repackaged. Collaboration with the Editorial Assistant and the team is crucial to maintain an up-to-date Editorial Calendar. You will be expected to shoot, direct, and edit content both in the studio and on location, which includes researching and scouting locations, interviewing subjects, and securing necessary permissions for filming. Additionally, you will coordinate with other digital teams to develop coverage plans and work alongside the Creative Service team to design social graphics that adhere to brand guidelines. Analyzing social and digital analytics will be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to translate insights into actionable strategies to enhance engagement and content performance. This role demands a creative mind, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the team.

Responsibilities

• Pitch/produce engaging video and image content for food and travel enthusiasts.
• Attend daily editorial stand-ups and pitch timely original food & travel related content.
• Review daily broadcasts from across the country to find content/stories/video that can be repurposed/repackaged from local stations.
• Work with the Editorial Assistant and the team to keep the Editorial Calendar up to date.
• Shoot/Direct/Edit content in studio and on location.
• Research and scout locations, interview subjects, and obtain necessary permissions to shoot.
• Coordinate with other digital teams on coverage plans.
• Work with Creative Service to develop and design social graphics that maintain brand guidelines.
• Review social and digital analytics and translate them into actionable steps to increase engagement and content performance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years writing/producing original content in print, video, and social.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in all aspects of video production including shooting, lighting, sound recording & editing.
• Solid understanding of layout and design with the ability to follow brand guidelines.
• Expertise in social media with extensive familiarity with platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
• Substantial understanding of audience analytics and a passion for it.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Premiere Rush, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.) and other creative software.
• Familiarity with podcast production is a plus.
• Impeccable spelling and grammar, deep understanding of social media trends, and vertical video editing skills.
• Ability to shoot well-composed videos on a phone.
• Highly motivated, extremely organized, and creatively minded.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and change.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in on-camera reporting.
