About the position

The Digital Content Producer/Multi-Media Journalist at WEAU is responsible for producing and maintaining content for WEAU and its online platforms, aiming to build a loyal audience. This role involves creating original, locally focused stories and engaging content across various social media platforms, while ensuring continuity with broadcast news coverage.

Responsibilities

• Write and adapt broadcast content for WEAU and ensure continuity with news coverage.
• Create significant, original, locally focused stories for WEAU's digital platforms.
• Create engaging content on social media platforms that draw viewers to the web and television.
• Participate in the creative development and technical implementation of online content.

Requirements

• Experience with breaking news and working on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven news judgment and a working knowledge of all social media platforms.
• Competency in web image editing and web/mobile platform showcasing skills.
• Excellent web writing skills and proficiency in AP style.
• Proficient in shooting, writing, and editing television news packages.

Nice-to-haves

• Detail-oriented with the capability to carry out tasks with all necessary details.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
