KFOX14/CBS4 is seeking a creative Digital Content Producer responsible for writing and producing news content for web and social media. This role involves managing day-to-day digital news content, ensuring all digital platforms are accurate and engaging, and collaborating with news managers and the Director of Digital Content. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, news judgment, and digital analytics capabilities to enhance story placement across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Write and produce news content for web and social media.
- Manage day-to-day digital news content and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with news managers and the Director of Digital Content.
- Identify and post engaging, timely, and relevant content.
- Monitor competitive social practices and align with the station's content strategy.
- Teach on-air reporters to improve their digital skills.
- Chase down stories and reach out to sources for information.
- Share important information with co-workers in a clear and timely manner.
- Monitor news emails for new releases and updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in writing and producing news content for digital platforms.
- Strong digital analytics skills to guide story placement.
- Excellent writing skills and news judgment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
