About the position

The Digital Content Writer at OddBytes is a vital member of the Marketing team, responsible for creating impactful content across various digital platforms. This role focuses on developing engaging messaging that promotes products, supports the sales team, and enhances brand awareness. The position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while contributing to the company's digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategies to engage target audiences in retail ecommerce and brand management.
  • Shape and maintain the brand voice for all OddBytes' brands and products, ensuring consistency across all content and channels.
  • Maintain OddBytes internal brand standards.
  • Utilize and optimize AI to create content while adjusting the message to meet OddBytes standards.
  • Create compelling social media content to increase brand visibility and engagement across various platforms.
  • Implement SEO best practices in all content, including blog creation and updates, to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
  • Manage and optimize email marketing campaigns using automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.), ensuring content is tailored for different stages of the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and sales teams to align content with business objectives and key messaging.
  • Analyze and report on content performance, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI and audience engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with retail ecommerce and brand management industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive content strategies.
  • Explore and test new content formats to drive higher engagement and adapt to evolving content consumption trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in digital content writing, focusing on retail ecommerce and brand management.
  • Proven track record of producing SEO-driven content that improves organic and website traffic.
  • Experience managing email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of content marketing, lead generation, and customer engagement best practices.
  • Proficient in content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and social media management tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with data-driven content creation and content optimization tools (Google Analytics).
