About the position

The Digital Copywriter at T. Rowe Price plays a crucial role in developing engaging content for various digital and non-digital channels. This position involves collaboration with marketing partners and creative teams to create compelling copy that resonates with the financial services audience, particularly intermediaries. The copywriter will be responsible for producing content that aligns with the company's brand voice and meets the needs of diverse audience segments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align on content requirements and objectives before copy development.
  • Participate in creative meetings for project kickoffs and brainstorming sessions with designers and business partners.
  • Generate ideas and develop clear, concise, compelling copy based on agreed-upon strategy.
  • Tailor content to reflect the desired tone, sentiment, and intent of the messaging for various audience segments.
  • Apply writing and content style guidelines, incorporating T. Rowe Price brand tone and principles in copy.
  • Understand the content preferences of digital consumers and incorporate SEO recommendations as appropriate.
  • Present ideas and respond to stakeholder feedback or research findings in an iterative manner.
  • Review and edit content produced by marketing partners and creative colleagues.
  • Manage time and project load to meet deadlines agreed upon with business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience in copywriting or editorial roles.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ability to think creatively, conceptually, and strategically.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to work as part of a creative team in a collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of editorial or copywriting experience in the financial industry.
  • Experience using generative AI in the creative process.
  • Familiarity with SEO and accessibility principles.
  • Experience with Figma and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
