About the position

The Digital Design Specialist at the Supreme Court of Ohio plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's digital presence. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining visually appealing websites and web pages, ensuring brand consistency and quality across all digital communication platforms. The specialist will create engaging visuals and user-friendly interfaces for both internal and external audiences, contributing to effective communication and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update web pages using a content management system (CMS) and markup as needed, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Conceptualize and produce graphic content for digital platforms, including social media visuals, email marketing, and online advertisements.
  • Enhance intranet functionality and improve internal communications, quality control, and branding.
  • Develop engaging content for internal newsletters, intranet updates, social media, and online marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, tools, and best practices to elevate the quality of web and digital content.
  • Support editorial staff with task management, coordination, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience required; Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign).
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design visually compelling and functional web layouts with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using web content management systems (CMS) to manage and publish digital content.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
