About the position

The Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineer at Boeing is responsible for designing and developing advanced digital electronics for aerospace applications, particularly in communication satellites. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of digital components, enabling efficient data processing and communication within satellites. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art digital circuit and unit hardware for aerospace applications.
  • Perform electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, and design verification.
  • Provide technical support for production and testing of electronic products.
  • Support projects involving electronics design.
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.
  • Lead analysis of customer and system requirements and develop architectural approaches and specifications.
  • Lead development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
  • Lead reviews of testing and analysis activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Identify, track, and report on technical performance measures to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Lead activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
  • Coordinate engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Lead level: 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware.
  • Senior level: 10+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, requiring U.S. Citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics.
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience with Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree.
