The position involves conducting forensic analyses of digital and other multimedia evidence using appropriate scientific methodologies, forensic techniques, and quality assurance practices in support of criminal and administrative investigations. The individual will be responsible for conducting forensic examinations of digital and other multimedia evidence through the use of scientific practices, methods, and techniques. This includes examining and analyzing digital evidence for criminal, civil, regulatory, or internal purposes, interpreting scientific observations and data to render conclusions or findings, and developing expert opinions using a range of techniques, tools, and methods. The role also requires producing comprehensive reports and illustrative exhibits or findings for federal and state judicial proceedings and for internal administrative investigations. The candidate must have the ability to sufficiently explain evidence interpretations, findings, and conclusions to a lay audience.
