About the position
The Digital Forensics Systems Engineer will be part of the CACI Forensics Team at Ft. Liberty, NC, providing direct support to Special Operations. This role involves the collection and handling of Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) and Captured Enemy Material (CEM), ensuring compliance with organizational intelligence requirements. The engineer will conduct digital forensic examinations and generate reports that inform intelligence operations, making a significant impact on current and future missions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Digital Forensics Examiner for Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) and Captured Enemy Material (CEM).
- Conduct digital forensic examinations on mobile and media devices, including phones and computers.
- Generate reporting and respond to analytical requirements based on forensic examinations.
- Locate, exploit, and report on data recovered from captured enemy media, including user contacts, call logs, and internet history.
- Provide timely and accurate information that meets the organization's intelligence requirements.
Requirements
- Current DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- Experience with mobile device and computer forensics.
- Proficiency in forensics software and tools such as EnCase, Magnet Axiom, Oxygen Forensic Detective, X-Ways Forensics, XRY/XAMN, and Cellebrite Physical Analyzer.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience within Department of Defense, Law Enforcement, or Government agencies.
- Knowledge of how Technical Exploitation enables the Intelligence Cycle.
- Military background or Special Operations experience.
