About the position

As a Graphic Designer at Levi Strauss & Co., you will be an integral part of our global creative team, responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing seasonal product marketing campaigns across various channels. This includes digital platforms such as levi.com, social media, email, and digital paid media, as well as traditional advertising formats like print and outdoor advertising. Your role will involve collaborating closely with leaders across the organization to ensure that all brand visuals align with our global marketing priorities and brand expectations. You will be tasked with creating innovative and fresh design concepts that resonate with our audience and enhance the LS&Co. experience. In this position, you will utilize your expertise in visual design, creative brainstorming, and user journey optimization to translate creative concepts into compelling materials for both internal and external consumers. You will work alongside copywriters and fellow graphic designers to ensure that all creative outputs are cohesive and effectively communicate our brand message. Your responsibilities will also include staying updated with the latest trends in e-commerce technology, graphic design, and social media, allowing you to propose new ideas and share insights with the team. You will maintain organized project files and partner with the production team during the final stages of design to ensure that all deliverables meet production standards and specifications. Regular participation in team discussions and meetings will be essential to keep projects on track and aligned with brand standards. Your contributions will help shape the direction of our creative projects and ensure that all work is communicated effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Help conceptualize, design and implement seasonal product marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Implement Global Brand Marketing priorities into goals and apply brand expectations to all creative deliverables.
  • Design creative concepts that are on strategy and create fresh ideas/innovative solutions.
  • Use visual design, creative brainstorming, and user journey optimization to translate concepts into materials for consumers.
  • Partner with copywriters and other graphic designers to ensure all creative is aligned and communicates an on-brand message.
  • Accomplish marketing project goals for visual design, brand strategy, and optimal user experience.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness regarding social media content and platforms.
  • Stay updated with trends in e-commerce technology, graphic design, and photography.
  • Ensure all design layouts are optimized for end-use and delivered according to specifications and standards.
  • Maintain an organized set of files for project archives.
  • Partner with the production team during final stages to ensure optimized and accurate file standards.
  • Participate in team discussions to reduce issues and ensure projects stay on brand and completed.
  • Contribute to department meetings to offer creative input and ensure all assigned work is communicated back to partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Graphic Design or related areas.
  • 3+ years of work experience as a graphic designer, preferably in retail, fashion, or apparel brands.
  • Experience with typography, graphic design principles, and image curation with a solid creative portfolio.
  • Graphic motion experience (After Effects) and animation skills.
  • Knowledge of fashion brands and how their brands translate across digital and non-digital channels.
  • Experience presenting work and promoting design objectives in meetings.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices for web and pre-press print execution.
  • Strong understanding of the online web development process and coding languages.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Figma, and digital production technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within an internal consumer brand environment or advertising agency.
  • Knowledge of digital paid media and blogs.
  • Familiarity with CMS tools for web and e-commerce.
