About the position

Villatel is seeking a talented Digital Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team in Miami, FL. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about design and animation, and who thrives in a creative environment. As a Digital Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and animating a variety of digital content that effectively communicates our brand message. Your work will include creating visually appealing landing pages, website banners, social media posts, emails, and presentations that engage our audience and enhance our brand identity. In this position, you will collaborate closely with developers to ensure that all designs and assets meet specifications. You will also present your design concepts to team members, showcasing your ability to dazzle with GIF animations and digital illustrations. A key aspect of your role will be to develop a creative direction for each project, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and aesthetics. You will work alongside the Marketing team to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas for digital campaigns and initiatives, while also supporting the Social Media team with templates, video clips, and resized imagery. Additionally, you will take on print responsibilities as needed, designing and prepping files for in-home signage, print ads, and one sheets. Staying up to date with the latest design and animation trends is crucial, as you will contribute to the evolution of our visual brand guidelines. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld. Collaboration with external vendors and agencies may also be required to source additional design or animation support. Ultimately, you will become an expert in our brand, competitors, and target demographics, helping to shape the creative direction for lifestyle photoshoots and video shoots.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and animate digital content such as landing pages, website banners, social media posts, emails, and presentations.
• Create work that is visually appealing and effective in communicating the brand message.
• Communicate and collaborate with developers during the design process to ensure all designs and assets are to spec.
• Present design concepts effectively to team members.
• Create engaging GIF animations and digital illustrations.
• Develop a creative direction for each project, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to brainstorm and develop new ideas for digital campaigns and initiatives.
• Support the Social Media team with templates for posts and stories, cutting short video clips, and resizing imagery.
• Take on print responsibilities when needed, such as designing and prepping files for in-home signage, print ads, and one sheets.
• Stay up to date with the latest design and animation trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Support and contribute to the evolution of visual brand guidelines and designs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through final production, while meeting deadlines and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Work with external vendors and agencies as needed to source additional design or animation support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in digital design and animation, preferably in a creative agency or in-house creative team.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design and animation skills.
• Expert level in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
• A passion for creativity and innovation, with a strong desire to push boundaries and explore new ideas.
