About the position

This is an engineering position for digital hardware design with NxGenComm. The successful candidate will be part of a premier design team responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge 5G network and mobile products. The role requires familiarity with advanced system architectures and digital design, and the candidate will work proactively with other cross-functional engineering groups. You will be responsible for the digital design and power management domain of 5G systems with advanced chipsets in NxGenComm products from concept to deployment. This position also necessitates heavy collaboration with other teams, including Software, DSP, RF, and more, requiring a firm grasp of the entire product landscape outside of wireless design.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement digital hardware for 5G systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product integration and performance.
  • Conduct schematic capture and layout design and review.
  • Perform system integration and design for high-volume consumer electronics.
  • Develop and verify power management solutions including voltage regulators, LDOs, and SMPS.
  • Utilize high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, SPMI, I2C, and UART.
  • Conduct bench-level design verification using high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Perform signal and power integrity simulations.

Requirements

  • BSEE and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with schematic capture, layout design, and review.
  • Experience with mobile platform system design and system integration.
  • Experience with high-volume consumer electronics design.
  • Experience with voltage regulators, LDOs, and switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
  • Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, e.g., PCIe, SPMI, I2C, UART.
  • Bench-level design verification experience with high-speed oscilloscopes preferred.
  • Signal/power integrity simulation experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
