About The Position

As part of the Wireless Hardware group at Apple, you will be at the forefront of innovation, responsible for bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world. This role involves improving the performance of Apple products through innovative system-on-chip designs. You will be part of a world-class team that designs, implements, and verifies the baseband systems for all mobile Apple products. The position requires a proactive and cooperative approach, working closely with cross-functional engineering groups to ensure seamless integration and performance of the hardware. Your primary responsibilities will include bringing up and characterizing radio chipsets, focusing on both performance and power metrics. You will design and execute system-level test plans for cutting-edge silicon, ensuring that all products meet peak performance standards. Debugging silicon issues and troubleshooting next-generation Apple products will be a critical part of your role. Collaboration is key, as you will work with external vendors to identify and resolve any silicon design issues that arise during development. Additionally, you will develop integration and verification plans in partnership with external chipset vendors, which may involve some international travel. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer system architecture and digital design, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. Familiarity with high-speed memory systems and digital communication interfaces such as PCIe, RFFE, SPMI, DDR, USB, SPI, and I2C is essential. You should also be comfortable interpreting complex schematics and PCB layouts, as these skills will be crucial in your day-to-day tasks.
