About the position

The Digital Health Cybersecurity Managing Consultant will lead teams in supporting cybersecurity program projects, providing guidance on project deliverables and quality assurance. The role involves advising clients on cybersecurity and privacy controls, refreshing cybersecurity policies, and assisting in risk mitigation within government cloud environments. The consultant will also engage in consulting activities, analyze problems, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams for Digital Health cybersecurity program support projects.
  • Provide guidance and support for project deliverables and quality assurance efforts.
  • Proofread and format technical and policy documents.
  • Refresh and establish cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Advise clients in cybersecurity and privacy controls and regulations including various NIST frameworks and FISMA.
  • Interpret security control intent and apply to technologies and processes.
  • Assist clients in identifying and mitigating security risks in government cloud environments.
  • Actively participate on cybersecurity consulting engagements and work with a team and the client to deliver high-quality work.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in IT general controls and cybersecurity.
  • Work across multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, concerns, and risks.
  • Analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and communicate effectively.
  • Create and deliver high-quality presentations and reports to effectively communicate project findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • US Citizenship is contractually required
  • Demonstrated understanding of functional cybersecurity concepts
  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of professional experience in cybersecurity risk management, IT audit, or comparable domain
  • Familiarity and experience with federal government clients
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Prior experience working at large consulting firms
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop strong team and client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISA, CISSP, CEH)
  • Experience with managing/supporting and/or knowledge of cybersecurity or high value asset program
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Prior experience working with or for the NIH (National Institutes of Health)
