About the position

The Digital Inclusion Coordinator position at the City of Raleigh is a part-time role focused on supporting the Digital Inclusion Unit within the Community Engagement Division. The primary mission is to enhance digital equity by providing access to technology and resources, particularly for youth and residents of Raleigh. The role involves coordinating various digital inclusion programs, facilitating technology training, and engaging with community members to promote digital literacy and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the Digital Inclusion Unit.
  • Support Digital Inclusion Programs such as Raleigh Digital Connectors (RDC) and Raleigh Digital Ambassadors (RDA).
  • Facilitate technology training workshops and classes.
  • Coordinate computer distributions to Raleigh residents.
  • Manage lab reservations and maintain organization of lab spaces.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships to support digital inclusion initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in customer service and volunteer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Drive.
  • Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
