About the position

The Digital Inside Sales Manager at Siemens is responsible for leading a team of sales development representatives in a remote setting. This role focuses on transitioning the team from lead generation to a comprehensive inside sales function, particularly in the software sales sector related to smart buildings. The manager will drive the end-to-end sales process, ensuring collaboration across various teams to achieve revenue growth and develop the skills of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales development representatives responsible for inbound lead processing and cold outbound outreach.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to transition the team from a lead generation focus to a complete inside sales model.
  • Support the growth of the team's skills in outbound prospecting and full-cycle inside sales functions, particularly focused on software sales.
  • Collaborate closely with sales managers and account executives to ensure alignment on account coverage and opportunity quality.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development for the team, emphasizing full-cycle sales skills.
  • Monitor metrics and KPIs, focusing on productivity and pipeline conversion.
  • Articulate the business value of Siemens and maintain knowledge of the Siemens platform and industry trends.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual quota achievements, adapting plans to meet market demands.
  • Hire and onboard new Sales Development Representatives and support their transition to inside sales responsibilities.
  • Develop quarterly plans to meet/exceed pipeline and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales, sales development, or inside sales, with 1+ years leading a team.
  • Experience transitioning teams from lead generation to inside sales, ideally with a focus on software sales.
  • Proven ability to hire, train, and develop teams for outbound prospecting and inside sales roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective presentation and listening skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with some level of ambiguity.
  • Experience prospecting or selling into accounts, with a focus on software sales.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
