About the position

The Digital Integrated Circuit Design Engineer role at Boeing involves developing complex, high-performance ASICs, FPGAs, and SoCs for military/aerospace applications. The position is part of Boeing Research & Technology's Solid State Electronics Development organization, focusing on microelectronics technology development and design for aerospace systems. The engineer will engage in various design processes, including microarchitecture design, RTL design, and verification, while working in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Microarchitecture design and behavioral modeling using tools like Matlab and Arm Socrates
• RTL design using Verilog and VHDL
• RTL verification through simulation and emulation
• Integration of 3rd party IP, synthesis, place & route, and DFT insertion
• Conducting static timing analysis and achieving timing closure
• Performing power analysis, formal verification, and documentation development

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience in the design/development of integrated circuits

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with design in analog, digital, mixed signal, RF, or SoC domains
• Experience with industry standard EDA tools for digital ASIC/FPGA/SoC design and verification
• Experience working on large-scale SoC design teams
• Experience developing digital ASICs and SoCs in state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication processes
• Experience developing digital or analog/mixed-signal ICs for extreme environment applications
• Experience with development of digital or analog/mixed-signal circuits for hardware security applications
• Experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics programs
• Experience organizing and leading teams
