About the position

The Digital Integration Solutions Engineer at Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is responsible for providing on-site implementation of Electrical Power Management and mission-critical monitoring and control systems. This role involves extensive travel, up to 75%, and requires a strong background in power management systems, engineering, and customer consultation. The engineer will work with various technologies and software to ensure the integration and optimization of power systems, aligning them with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site implementation of Electrical Power Management and mission-critical monitoring and control systems.
• Offer applied engineering and consultation to customers regarding system integration, installation, start-up, maintenance, repair, training, and modification of power management systems.
• Program PLC control systems including Power Control, Generator Control, and SCADA.
• Commission power management systems and provide troubleshooting support.
• Develop and maintain operator interfaces using HMI software packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Power Management or Building Management systems.
• Knowledge of serial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, BACnet IP, and BACnet MS/TP.
