About the position

As a Product Manager in Merchant Services Commercialization at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of product innovation within the organization. This position is designed for a core leader who is passionate about driving value for customers and guiding successful product launches that exceed expectations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle, acting as the voice of the customer to develop profitable products that deliver significant customer value. Your deep understanding of product development will be crucial as you guide the successful launch of new offerings, gather essential feedback, and ensure that client experiences are top-tier. In your role as the Digital Journey lead, you will create and execute a new program aimed at delivering a seamless end-to-end digital journey for Merchant Services clients. This involves close collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to identify client needs, assess competitive benchmarks, and design a cohesive commerce journey tailored to various client personas. You will also coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Sales, to ensure alignment on key milestones and timelines, driving the overall success of the product initiatives. Your responsibilities will include developing a product strategy and vision that aligns with customer needs, managing discovery efforts and market research to uncover solutions, and maintaining a product backlog that supports the strategic roadmap. You will build frameworks to track key success metrics, create and execute against a Program Charter, and evaluate funnel metrics and usability feedback to optimize the customer journey over time. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products that resonate with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Creates and executes against Program Charter to ensure each team is meeting timelines and escalating blockers as needed
  • Coordinates engagement with external agencies (as needed) to scope out discovery/awareness flows across different client profiles
  • Evaluates funnel metrics and usability feedback to optimize the journey over time

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and driving alignment and results

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Prior experience in financial services or an understanding of regulatory complexity within the industry
