The Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) at Iowa State University is seeking an Engineer I responsible for supporting the CIRAS Digital Manufacturing Lab powered by Alliant Energy. This Engineer will assist in maintaining and advancing both current and future lab technologies while overseeing overall lab operations. They will support the lab's mission to reduce risks associated with technology adoption for companies, driving significant productivity gains and supporting their continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical systems. Critical skills include excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; exceptional critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity; and strong time management skills. All staff members are expected to maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
